Interaction System

Initial Prototype

Initial prototype GIF.gif

The concept was to create a set of items that could be highlighted. When selected a context menu should appear in which players can choose out of multiple options. On the left you can see a quick proof of concept that I made during the concepting phase of our project.

Mid-Scope
Result

ButtonHighlight.gif

The mid-scope result was a highlightable class of objects. A button press reveals interactable items with an outline. The outline fitted with any mesh available. Items transferred their name data to a UI element that appeared on selection.

End Result

The end result was a highlightable class of objects, they get supported by a context menu on selection. The context menu gives players different interaction options, which gives us as devs plenty of opportunity in worldbuilding, missions and exploration.

Teamwork

Peer reviews

"Always very clear and direct with you communication, you find a good balance on how to approach discussions, very valuable team member in that regard."

"You actively seek out giving feedback to your peers. As a producer, your feedback on production has been extremely helpful. Having you in our team with both production knowledge and prior experience has provided many insights and suggestions on how not only I could improve as a producer, but also how we could improve as a team"

"The work you have delivered is of very high quality. It is very useful that what you have made is in a spot where we can use it in future blocks, where you might go to year 4"
